Doe River Covered Bridge

It was a beautiful day today, and Noelle, Mom, Sierra and I just had to get outside to enjoy it. We decided to head over to Elizabethton, Tennessee to check out Sycamore Shoals and the covered bridge over the Doe River. By the time we got to Elizabethton we were very hungry and so we headed to Fatz for a nice Mother’s Day lunch. After lunch we headed downtown to the covered bridge.

We enjoyed the covered bridge and walking in the park that surrounds the bridge.

We even were able to get pretty close to a great blue heron fishing in the river nearby.
