Photo of the Day: We've got a new tool for adventure!
I'm generally anti-consumerism. I don't like buying too much stuff. However, getting out there to explore our world requires tools. In a watery part of the world like northern Minnesota a boat opens up a whole new series of adventures. Today we made the drive down to Grand Rapids, Minnesota. After 2 straight months of not leaving northern Koochiching and St. Louis Counties, Grand Rapids seemed like the big city. We got some lunch and bought our new boat. It's a Wenonah Southfork canoe, made in Winona, Minnesota which is just across the Mississippi River from Noelle's parents' house in Wisconsin. We are looking forward to lots of adventures out on the water in the coming years!

That's an awesome tool! I used to live near the bayou in Alabama and one of my favorite things to do was go out in the boat and explore the waterways. Have fun!
Yay for canoes! You won't regret it. I've had 4 canoes in my life and regretted selling the first two. My fleet now consists of a nice canoe and a beater canoe. Nice car too. 2004? Mine just turned 150k.
Hey Ben, our Forrester is a 2003. It has just over 200k. Hopefully it will last another 100k!
