After our adventure sliding in the Great Sand Dunes, we headed south, then west through Alamosa. Right along Highway 160. There's a pull-off on the highway for Treasure Falls. You can see the falls in the distance from part of the parking lot.
However, we wanted to get a closer view and so we headed out for the short hike to Treasure Falls.
However, a side trip to an overlook was not worthwhile. Also, this area is easily accessible from the highway and so it gets lots of use. There is quite a bit of trash around and lots of user trails.
