Noelle and I wanted to get out and do some exploring today. Sierra was not in the mood. Instead of leaving her home alone, we dropped her off at a friend's house and Noelle and I made the drive into Wyoming. After a quick AIS boat inspection outside of Torrington, we headed south to Hawk Springs to paddle the canoe.
Honestly, it's not the most interesting boating location. It's just a small reservoir out on the prairie.
Unlike at Minatare, there aren't cottonwood trees to paddle through. There is, however, a nice view of a high sandstone bluff on the east side of the lake.
We paddled the western shoreline, then headed back east to a cluster of nice-looking homes on the northern shore. As we started to make our way back to the boat ramp, dark clouds gathered to the southwest.
It was a quick paddle. After getting the boat back up on the car, we made the drive back to Torrington for a couple of beers at the Open Barrel Brewery.
