Stonewall National Monument

We got off the subway at Christopher Street and emerged pretty much right at Christopher Street Park and the Stonewall Inn,

the epicenter of the Gay Rights Movement in the United States. We walked the small park and admired the pleasant scene including the Gay Liberation Monument.

From the park, we headed over to the small visitor center, right next to the bar. We explored the exhibits, again the type that the current administration would not be thrilled about, and then headed over to Washington Square Park,

and over to Lafayette Street for a late lunch at Los Tacos No 1.
